Santa Fe: Loretto Chapel’s Double Spiral Staircase

Loretto Chapel, Santa Fe

Loretto Chapel: Entrance

Loretto Chapel: Spiral Staircase

Loretto Chapel: Altar

Loretto Chapel: Sacred Heart of Jesus

Loretto Chapel: Saint Joseph

Loretto Chapel: Stained Glass

Santa Fe’s Loretto Chapel was built in 1873.  This gothic church has an amazing spiral staircase that makes two complete 360 degree turns.  Visitors marvel at how the “floating” staircase stands without falling down.

a spiral staircase and make any place just feel so much more.. epic. This place is a great fit for one! I would really like to see one in my very own home.

Please let me know if you sell photos of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Loretto Chapel. Also, do you know the name of the who sculpted the statue?

    • Pam says:

Frances, I will send you an e-mail. I am happy to share the picture for your personal or church use at no charge. Unfortunately I do not know who sculpted the statue. I checked my church guide, and it did not give that information. I also zoomed in on the writing underneath the statue in my original photo, but it was a dedication.
