Night-Blooming Cereus Cactus Fruit, Winegar Backyard, Palm Bay, Florida. This particular variety is also known as snake vine cactus (Selenicereus pteranthus), and is native to Central America.

    We have a cereus at our condo Commons that has grown all the way up a 60′ Palm tree, in Bradenton FL

      That is so cool! It’s amazing how quickly they grow once they get started. Mine just sat there about a year and then started doubling quickly. They are my favorite! We are on the opposite coast near Melbourne.

    This is so awesome. I just witnessed queen of the night gorgeous flower bloom and went on internet to learn more about cacti species and came across cereus cactus another interesting amazing night bloomer. I am from South Africa and has both cacti plants in my garden. I wish I could share pics.
