Florida is Lightning Capital!

Florida Lightning Storm

Florida is the lightning capital of the United States.  It is a power to be respected.  We are finally back online after a lightning bolt struck near our house and blew out the electronics!  Real-time lightning strikes are tracked at:  http://www.flamedia.com/

Aye, Florida’s lighning is a great display of nature’s power and beauty. I often go to watch the sniveling lavender lightning strike the frilling sea in the dead of night (about 10 pm, but let me have my dramatics, eh) Always astounding, a thrill of simply being, watching the lightning, and the waves, smell of the brine, the feel of the humid kiss of the virason…it is all so glorious. Wonderful image.
