Washington Oaks Gardens State Park: Peach Beach!
November 24, 2012 8 Comments
Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is located south of St. Augustine, Florida. The eastern coastal side of the park is famous for its Peach Beach. The color of the sand comes from iron in the soil. We are looking forward to a future visit at low tide so that we can photograph the beach’s picturesque coquina rock.
Peach is a really cute name for a beach.
It’s a little known treasure – a real treat!
This is SO interesting :)….I’m looking forward to a visit to my favorite beach soon,,,just so that I can photo some of the cute little shorebirds….they’re so peaceful…
You will love it! Everyone loves those little birds – they run in and out with the tide so quickly. Real cuties!
SUCH a beautiful area… And the liberal use of coquina is fascinating.
It is a gorgeous place – we are already planning a trip back!
Nice Pictures! Hope to visit the place someday
I hope you get to visit. There are alot of interesting things to see and do in the area. It is best in the cooler months of the year.
