We’ve just returned from a trip celebrating our anniversary along the California coast. One of the most scenic places we visited was Lover’s Point at Monterey, California. The pink ice plants are particularly stunning this time of year!

Beautiful. Don’t you just love the hot purple ice plant in California?

    • Pam says:

Yes, it is an all-time favorite! The first time I saw a picture of it I thought it couldn’t possibly be real – but it is.

What a beautiful, scenic place to spend your anniversary! Many happy wishes to you!

    When was it taken?

    • Pam says:

The pink flowers are best in late April and May, depending on rain. In general, wildflowers in the region overall seem to peak about the 3rd week of April. These pictures were taken last May 2013.
