      Oh, we are!!! The nest box was a Christmas present, and we just got it up in February. She moved right in – so thrilled! If she nests successfully, she will return to the box every spring. If so, I’ll be ready next time, because I will install a remote camera to see the chicks inside.

    My favorite: the bunting. Gorgeous. And the anole? Wild.

      The painted buntings are so pretty! They spend winter here. The brown anole puffs out his red throat when he is trying to impress a female or intimidate a rival. Or perhaps he just shows off sometimes because he can. 🙂
