Iceland is one of the top places we have ever visited – we can’t wait to visit again someday!  We were constantly surprised by the stunning natural beauty of this magical land.  And the people are truly wonderful too – they have been voted the friendliest in the world.  It was a great trip all around!

About Pam
Richard and Pam lived in the San Francisco Bay Area 14 years (1987-1999 and 2008-2011). They lived in Florida 13 years previously, until returning in July 2011 to present. They hope their photography will encourage you to get out and discover nature's beauty in your own backyard, parks, and wild places. 1. Very beautiful pictures, looks like a wonderful place!

Lots of beautiful scenery was right along the main road – all we had to do is pull off and take pictures. Now back to some Florida nature posts. 🙂

    • Pam says:

The rainbow was unbelievable! Granted traffic wasn’t much, but EVERYBODY stopped their car and got out to take pictures. We all just stared and said WOW!

    Wow… Just, wow! 😃

Thanks! I think you should add it to your bucket list! There are nonstop IcelandAir flights out of Sanford (Orlando), Florida; and many major airlines fly via Baltimore and New York in summer. It truly exceeded our expectations.

  3. Fantastic rainbow photos Pam. I’ve never seen anything even close to this. Incredible. Terri and I were just having the conversation about going back to Iceland. We spent 3 days there, all in Reykjavik, and obviously, there’s tons more around the island. Your posts will be a great source of inspiration. ~James

I had no idea there was such a thing as a a low-altitude rainbow. How beautiful – and what a privilege that had to be to see it! And all those gorgeous lupines! I am truly enjoying your photos from Iceland! 🙂

Iceland was one of the top two favorite places we’ve ever been. It was incredible! Our other favorite was Australia – and we are in the planning stages for a trip back. I bet you are getting some beautiful Fall color at your place now.
