my second trip to Icek=land was in1976. and thetravel agency was from England. Besides the annoying tradition of tea every day, the travel people did not want to stop to put up a cairn. The next day bad luck dicended upon the group. I strained my back helping to unload the cookstove. Our bus driver, Oscar suffered a strained a knee while playing pickup soccer with local town people. The bpy whp was with me couldn’t get to the bathroom in time. One couple, very comfortable with each other, had a terrible argument with the wife throwing water on her companion. then making the bus driver syop when she ran up a hill. she did come back

My thoughts were – – all this could have been avoided if the bus stopped a put up a cairn.

respectfully submitted richard clapp (physically in USA but my heart is in Iceland 0

My goodness – that was quite a time you had! You saw Iceland before it became popular with tourists. It is a magical place. We’ve visited in June of 2014, 2016, 2019, and then squeezed in a quick trip to see the volcano the last week of July this year (2021). I will be posting pictures from that soon. We’d like to visit again to our favorite places on the south coast and Snaefellsness. Best wishes for a return trip to Iceland sometime too! Best wishes. Pam
