Cliff Swallow Pair at Mud Nest

Cliff Swallow Pair at Mud Nest. Mud is carried one beakful at a time to construct nest. Cliff swallows nest at Mission San Juan Capistrano and surrounding area in San Juan Capistrano, California, in March. The birds migrate from Argentina. You can also see these birds many other places – a favorite of ours and a reliable easy place to see them is at Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve Visitor Center, Palo Alto, California.
