One of our favorite things to do is to take a walk around the yard.  We never know what surprises we will see!  Do you have a favorite sighting in your yard?

Those crane shots are glorious! What a wonderful yard!

  2. Sandhill Crane in your yard? We drive hours to see them. Also love the lubber grasshopper.

    • Pam says:

We are so fortunate – yes we have sandhill cranes in our yard. In winter we’ve had up to a dozen at a time, and sometimes they dance! The lubber grasshoppers are huge – about 3 inches long. They are very striking with that hot pink on their sides.

All these photos are beautiful, but I’m in love with those Sandhill shots. As a craniac I would love to see those little chicks in person…. adorable.

  6. Oh, I love the sandhill crane chicks. Florida is one of my dreams.

    • Pam says:

We love the sandhill cranes too – can’t believe we have them in our yard. If you ever visit Florida, I’ll be glad to give you some tips!
