Snoopy as Safety Mascot for NASA

Snoopy Safety Mascot Astrobeagle for NASA, Schulz Museum, Petaluma/Santa Rosa, California (north of San Francisco). Official museum description reads: “In the 1960s Snoopy became the safety mascot for NASA. In 1969 the Peanuts characters Charlie Brown and Snoopy became semi-official mascots for the Apollo 10 mission. The command and lunar modules were named for these characters. Peanuts creater Charles Schulz also drew some special mission-related artwork for NASA.” He considered it one of his highest honors.
