Open land stretches to the horizon at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park (south of Orlando, Florida). Spring is an especially good time to visit.   1. Amazing Pam! I have never seen a green heron do that! What a contortionist. Usually they seem to lurk along the edges, but you were obviously there at the perfect time. Great photo! ~Terri

        Thank you Pam. Nature photography has become my last great passion. I am blessed to live now, in an area filled with so much beauty, after a life of moving from Florida, to Alaska, California, Alabama and many places in between, and I have always been attracted by the natural world around me. It seems as if you and Richard are similarly possessed. Nice to meet two more of like mind.

          All of those places are wonderful for nature. Richard grew up in Alaska, so we’ve been there many times. And of course we’ve spent many years living in both Florida and California. I’ve heard Alabama is amazing for hummingbirds. Nice to have a new nature friend!
